The scorching red hot Boston Bruins are back home tomorrow night at TD Garden in downtown Boston after yet another successful road trip, and they'll be taking on the Seattle Kraken while looking for their 33rd victory of their potential record-breaking season.
The unfortunate part is that forward Jake DeBrusk has been put on LTIR thanks to an injury that he suffered on January 2 against the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Winter Classic. And they've made the call to bring up Finnish forward Joona Koppanen from the American Hockey League affiliate Providence Bruins; in a corresponding move, they've sent down Chris Wagner to Providence.
"I’ve been watching almost all of the games this year that Boston's played so it’s just an awesome job here," he explained. "It’s a privilege to come here and play for the team and the organization, of course.”
In his fifth season with Providence, Koppanen has tallied five goals and 19 points in 34 games played.
