Jordan Binnington injured in collision with Nazem Kadri in Game 3.

A huge loss for the Blues in Game 3.

The St. Louis Blues may have just suffered a gigantic loss in Game 3 of their second round Stanley Cup playoff series against the Colorado Avalanche.

Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington appears to have suffered an injury after a collision in his own net involving Colorado Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri. Kadri crashed the crease in an attempt to make a play on a loose puck in front of Binnington, but he would get tangled up with Blues defenseman Calle Rosen on his wayto the net, causing both men to crash hard into Binnington.

It was Kadri who appeared to deliver the hardest blow to Binnington though, with the Avalanche forward almost appearing to dive into the body of the Blues netminder, although it isn't clear if that is what caused the injury. As Binnington left the ice he appeared to be favoring his leg, which was outstretched in an attempt at a save prior to both men crashing into his net.

Binnington had a long conversation with a member of the Blues training staff before making his exit from the game, although what the context of their conversation was is anyone's guess at this time. Binnington appeared to be resting his head on the trainers shoulder as though he was overcome with emotion in the moment, but that just be me reading too much into his body language.
