Joseph Woll makes Maple Leafs history

Put him in the record books!

The Toronto Maple Leafs were able to avoid elimination from the Stanley Cup Playoffs, defeating the Florida Panthers by a 2-1 final score and forcing a Game 5 tomorrow night back in Toronto.

And it was third string goaltender Joseph Woll who helped make it possible, making 24 saves in his first career postseason start; he was originally called into action early in the 2nd period of Game 3 after an upper body injury to starter Ilya Samsonov.

And thanks to his efforts, he's officially in the Maple Leafs team record books. Per Sportsnet:

"Joseph Woll. First goaltender in #LeafsForever history with 10 wins in his first 12 starts with the franchise (regular season & playoffs)."

It will once again be Woll in net for tomorrow's Game 5 at Scotiabank Arena.
