New York Islanders forward Josh Ho-Sang doesn't feel that John Tavares' contract extension will be a problem for him this season.
Ho-Sang spoke about the current situation and provided an interesting quote to Dave McCarthy of NHL.com.
Tavares has been eligible to sign a contract extension with the Islanders since July 1. His contract expires after next season and Tavares would be eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, 2018.
Ho-Sang and Tavares are seen as two cornerstone players for the Islanders moving forward, so it's vital for Islanders fans that their captain gets extended. Tavares has voiced his loyalty to the Islanders, so it helps that Ho-Sang is speaking up to squash any of the insane rumors that the leader might ink a one-year deal with Toronto or another team.
