Juraj Slafkovsky taunts opponents at World Championship.
The first overall pick of the Montreal Canadiens was showing some emotion at the World Championship.
The first overall pick of the Montreal Canadiens is letting his personality shine through at the International Ice Hockey Federation's World Championship tournament.
Juraj Slafkovsky drew a little bit of heat on social media on Sunday after cameras captured him taunting the opposing bench as he was being escorted away by an official. The heat stems from the fact that Slafkovsky is taunting players from the nation of Kazakhstan, not exactly known as a powerhouse hockey nation, but they are working on it, but to be fair to Slafkovsky it wasn't like his taunt came out of nowhere.
There had just been a large scrum on the ice between the aforementioned Kazakhstani players and Slafkovsky and his fellow Slovakian teammates, and it was this interaction that prompted Slafkovsky to taunt the bench while pointing up at the scoreboard.
There has been some indication that Slafkovsky's taunt was directed at a specific player, but no confirmation of that fact just yet. Here's a look at the replay of Slafkovsky directing his taunt towards the Kazakhstan bench.
