The buzzer was about to go off, but the St. Louis Blues have traded defenseman Justin Faulk to the Detroit Red Wings.
The return includes Justin Holl, Dmitri Buchelnikov, a 2026 1st round pick (DET) and 2026 3rd (SJS).
Faulk, who is 33, has recorded 11 goals and 32 points in 61 games with the Blues this season while averaging 22:30 of ice time.
He is currently in the sixth season of a seven-year, $45.5 million deal with an annual cap hit of $6.5 million. He is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2026-27 campaign.
In total since entering the NHL, Faulk has 141 goals and 490 points in 1,041 career games split between the Hurricanes and Blues.
