Juuse Saros' new paint job may be the worst in the NHL

As hockey fans, we're certainly all aware that goaltenders are a different breed of athlete. It certainly takes guts to constantly face down vulcanized rubber flying at your head in excess of 100 MPH night in and night out. Of course, goaltenders are also among the most unique athletes in sports today, as they get to showcase their personalities to the rest of the world in the form of custom artwork for their masks. 

Nashville Predators goaltender Juuse Saros, who finished 3rd overall in Vezina Trophy voting this season as the National Hockey League's top goaltender, released his new mask artwork for the upcoming season. His mask artist is Dave Gunnarsson of DaveArt, who happens to boast no less than 3/4 of all NHL goaltenders among his massive clientele list, meaning that he's certainly doing something right to have that many athletes who want his artwork. 

And while DaveArt has created some masterpieces in year's past, this Saros edition just isn't one of them. To be frank, the design which is already far too busy, looks as though someone left a bunch of baby-poop green crayons laying on top of the mask and let them melt in the sun.
