Having failed to put his name on the scoresheet so far this season, Kakko is certainly scoring points with fans.

So far this season, the Rangers are doing quite well with a record of 2-0. Quite a refreshing start for Rangers fans who had to suffer through a very, very difficult season last year where New York finished 6 spots above the last place team in the NHL with a record of 32-36-14.

The Rangers' luck started changing for the better when they won the second overall pick in the 2019 draft through the draft lottery. With this pick, they selected Kaapo Kakko who Rangers fans are already falling in love with. The love for the Rangers' new number 24 is so strong in fact that his jersey was sold out at Madison Square Garden on the home opening night.

The fact that his jersey was sold out meant that some fans were unable to buy the new threads that they coveted. Kakko was made aware of this situation and took action. The rookie went out of his way to personally deliver a jersey of his to a fan who had missed out.

Without a doubt, Kakko seeks to establish himself as a positive influence on and off the ice. He wants to show that he's got what it takes to become a leader within the New York Rangers team. After the two first games of the season, he still finds himself without a point, but fans should rest assured that Kakko will start producing sooner rather than later as he has already shown glimpses of his undeniable talent playing on the Rangers' first forward line.

New York is facing off against their bitter rivals, the Devils tomorrow but Kakko will not be suiting up. At this point in time, his injury status is still unclear. Fans are hoping that their first-round pick is unbothered by injury and that Rangers' head coach David Quinn is just allowing the young star to rest in order to keep him fresh for the upcoming games.

Whatever the reason for Kaapo Kakko's absence for tomorrow's big matchup, the Rangers will be looking to go 3-0 to start their season. In the meantime, maybe New York's new favorite Finn will find the time to make a few more deliveries.
