Kadri tossed from the game for brutal head shot on Faulk, likely looking at a lengthy suspension

Kadri about to be suspended in the 1st round for the 3rd time in four years!

In case you it last night, the Colorado Avalanche managed to take a two game lead in their opening round Stanley Cup Playoff series against the St Louis Blues, but the game didn't end without some controversy.

Avs forward Nazem Kadri, no stranger to postseason controversy, absolutely obliterated Blues defenceman Justin Faulk with a clear headshot, earning himself a five minute major and a game misconduct.

Check it out:

Kadri is likely looking at a suspension courtesy of NHL Player Safety for this hit. If he does indeed earn a suspension, it'll be the third 1st round suspension that he has served in the past four years.

Remember these, Leafs fans?

Probably safe to say at this point that Kadri needs to reign it in during the first round... Yikes!
