Karlsson’s agent makes troubling revelation with pivotal Game 3 taking place tonight

Not the right time to make these comments, boss…

The Sharks are facing the Blues in St. Louis tonight in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals and while defenseman Erik Karlsson has gotten better on the ice for San Jose since the start of the postseason, many are still worried about his health.

And they’re aren’t wrong. A few weeks ago, Gord Miller, the main commentator for the Sharks and Vegas Golden Knights series, commented that Karlsson will need to go straight to the hospital after his postseason days are over.

“When his playoffs are over, I think he’s going to go to the hospital and ask for the works, he can barely walk…There isn’t one thing wrong with him, there’s a lot.”

It seems like Karlsson’s agent Don Meehan agrees as he revealed on the air of TVA Sports that his client is playing hurt. This might make his job harder this summer as the star blue liner is set to become an unrestricted free agent in July. Meehan believes it might be a while before Karlsson gets back to full health…

“He’s not 100% and the Sharks knew it as soon as the playoffs started," said Meehan. It will take time before he is back to 100%. All the same, it has been very effective so far. "

This is surely worrisome for the Sharks and Karlsson himself. While he wants to push hard to help his team moving forward to get their first championship in franchise’s history, he also needs to think about his future…

Let's hope things don't get worse for him before he gets to shop on the free market.
