Ken Holland makes a huge statement.

We touched on the trade rumors surrounding three names on the Detroit Red Wings roster just yesterday, and less than 24 hours after that report Detroit Red Wings general manager Ken Holland has seemingly confirmed at least a piece of those rumors.
The three names that keep coming in trade rumors are those of goaltender Petr Mrazek as well as forwards Riley Shehan and Gustav Nyquist. While Holland did not share any details regarding what form a trade could take, he did all but admit that he would be making a trade before the start of the regular season.
"If everybody is healthy when we get to opening day, we'll probably have to make a move," Holland said as per Khan's report. "I'm anticipating we'll be over by a little bit."
The Red Wings are right up against the salary cap and while we still don't have a better idea of which player may end up being moved off the Red Wings roster, it does seem more and more certain every day that one of these three men won't be starting the regular season as a member of the Detroit Red Wings.
