The lowly Toronto Maple Leafs were thoroughly dominated on Saturday night by one of the league's worst teams in the Buffalo Sabres. The 6-2 loss perfectly summed up the effort put forth by the Leafs and if there was one man who was not interested in discussing it. That man was Phil Kessel. Kessel did have one thing to say before leaving the media scrum, according to TSN 1050 reporter Jonas Siegel. Kessel's exact reaction when asked for comment: "Get away from me." Reporters began to voice their displeasure with the way Kessel handled the situation, and are now questioning his leadership after he angrily stormed off. Kessel did score his 11th goal of the season in the loss.
