Keven Charest vs Gabriel Mailhot ends in a double KO.

An ugly end to the altercation for both men.

A fight that occurred during a AAA hockey league game in Quebec, Canada has begun to circulate online thanks in large part to the spectacular way it came to a close.

On Saturday, in a game in a league with an incredibly long acronym, the LHSAAAQ, Keven Charest and Gabriel Mailhot faced off in what was a considerable mismatch. Charest came into this one tipping the scales at just 215 lbs according the league's official listing, while Mailhot on the other hand weighed in at a whopping 280 lbs, in theory giving him a major advantage in terms of pure size.

In spite of the size disadvantage however Charest, who is in the red and white representing the team from La Tuque, appeared to get the better of Mailhot, who is sporting blue for his team from Trois-Rivieres, at least for the majority of the exchange. The bigger man in Mailhot did not connect much while Charest fired off his shots, but he wouldn't need to. Mailhot really only landed one punch in the entire exchange but it would prove to be the final one, rocking Charest with a big right hand that sent him crashing down to the ice.

Once again to Charest's credit however he seemingly managed to overcome the size disadvantage, taking the bigger man down with him at the very same time with a solid blow of his own. Both men would collapse to the ice after each eating a huge shot from the other, and it would appear that they were left in relatively rough shape. Both the officials and the players on the ice signaled for medical staff to come assist the players following the violent exchange, and one such person can be seen running into the frame as the video cuts off.

For a split second it looked as though Mailhot would bounce back to his feet and he immediately got back to his hands and knees, but after initially getting up he seemed to collapse back down to the ice and remained there until, again, the video cuts off.

Hopefully both of these guys are going to be ok, especially after putting on a great show for those in attendance.

I'll be honest I'm not too familiar with the LHSAAAQ but if I had to speculate I would suspect that this was a staged showdown between the two men, though I could be wrong. A quick search on Youtube quickly shows you that this is not the first time these two have been dance partners.

In this clip from back in February of 2020, the two men can be seen facing off once again although this time we get a little bit more context. The encounter seems clearly set up prior to the face off and it would seem calling these two dance partners is rather appropriate. In fact it seems they have their very own song "Walk" by Pantera.

In this earlier exchange, Charest was the clear cut winner.
