How close is he to a return?
The Toronto Maple Leafs are anything but healthy when it comes to the status of their two principle goaltenders. Starter Matt Murray remains currently inactive thanks to an adductor injury, while Ilya Samsonov is week to week with a lower body injury.
The good news is that Murray is on the verge of a return to action, though no specific date has been given.
"He's progressed well, he's done well," head coach Sheldon Keefe explained. "No final decisions have been made in terms of how we'll handle (Saturday)." Keefe said. "He's still out on the ice there right now, but we'll get through today and make the determination from there."
It will be Erik Kallgren making the start tonight against the Penguins.
