KHLer banned until next season after vicious attack on two former NHL players.

A vicious attack in the Kontinental Hockey League left two former National Hockey League players in a bad way.

On Wednesday the KHL announced a big eight-game ban for defenseman Grigory Panin after he attacked both Maxime Talbot as well as Brandon Kozun within just a few short moments.

First Panin delivered an ugly and unprovoked elbow to the head of Talbot, seemingly out of nowhere, and then turned around and slashed Kozun in the head. While both men were clearly hurt on the play, Kozun's body language after the slash was particularly scary.
