Kings are not done trading!

Spring cleaning in time for the deadline?

The Los Angeles traded backup goalie Jack Campbell and gritty forward Kyle Clifford late on Wednesday night and it might have been the opening of the market for them.

Pierre LeBrun believes the Kings still have a lot to sell on the market ahead of the trade deadline and could have made themselves interesting to other rival teams with the price they asked the Toronto Maple Leafs with their latest trade.

It seems like another one could be on the way, as LeBrun explained on TSN’s Insider Trading:

“Speaking of the Kings…they are not done trading. Alec Martinez, a defenseman that has a year and a half left on his contract, he remains available. He’s not a guy that the Leafs were interested in, by the way, but a couple of teams that we believe have shown interest, include the Florida Panthers, who are absolutely looking to upgrade their blue line, as well to some degree the Winnipeg Jets. The price to get Martinez is believed to be a second-round pick and either another pick or a prospect. Nothing imminent it appears at this point, but a player that should be on the move.”

The trade deadline is just weeks away. We will have to keep an eye on the Kings, who are considering rebuilding themselves to come back stronger.
