Wings lock up Olli Maatta to multi-year deal
The 28 year old blueliner finally finds a home.

The Detroit Red Wings have announced that they've signed defenseman Olli Maatta to a two year contract extension worth a reported $3 million annually.

The deal effectively takes Maatta off the trade market and gives him a home for at least the next two seasons. The 28 year old Finnish blueliner has suited up for four teams the past three seasons and has played 583 games split between the Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, Chicago Blackhawks and Pittsburgh Penguins.
