Kings try and take out Sharks goaltender Martin Jones with a brutal slew foot.

That's as blatant as it gets.

On the brink of elimination the Los Angeles Kings are desperate, and that desperation turned ugly on Friday night.

With their playoff hopes on the line in Game 5 of the first round Stanley Cup playoff series against the San Jose Sharks, the Kings needed a big win, forward Dustin Brown was apparently prepared to get that win by any means necessary.

Brown attempted to take out Sharks goaltender Martin Jones with a slew foot, and given the way Brown stuck his leg out and swept Jones' feet out from under him, there can really be no doubt as to the intent on this play/ Thankfully Jones wasn't hurt, and Brown was called on the play, but one has to wonder if the NHL will look at this if the Kings manage to survive Game 5.
