Kirill Kaprizov axe-chops Drew Doughty's face, gets tossed!

What in the world was Kirill Kaprizov thinking here? 

He's certainly in some hot water with the National Hockey League after he decided to use his stick like an axe and Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty's face like a giant redwood tree. For his actions, he was given a match penalty and thrown from the game.
