Klingberg fires his agent as he continues to go un-signed

We're nearly two weeks into free agency and one of the biggest UFAs on opening day is still on the open market.

Former Dallas Stars defenseman John Klingberg is still unsigned despite putting up a respectable 47 points in 74 games last season. Here's a guy who has never put up fewer than 40 points in a full NHL season, who can run a powerplay and is defensively underrated and yet he's still unsigned? What gives?

Well...

Maybe Klingberg didn't have the best advice heading into free agency? That would seem to be the case because yesterday Klingberg fired his longtime agent Peter Wallen.

Don't be surprised if there's a development in the Klingberg situation as early as this week.
