Knights completely change their lineup for Game 2 vs Oilers
Coach Bruce Cassidy puts his lines in a blender.
The Vegas Golden Knights host the Edmonton Oilers for Game 2 of their second round Stanley Cup Playoff series this evening and when they do so, they'll be sporting a much different look than in Game 1.
Head coach Bruce Cassidy has reportedly put his team's lines in a blender and is shaking up his forward lineup completely for Game 2.
William Karlsson moves from left wing on the first line to centering Reilly Smith and Brett Howden on the third line. Ivan Barbashev meanwhile fills that vacant spot on the first line alongside Jack Eichel and Mark Stone.
Vegas' second line of Tomas Hertl centering Brandon Saad and Victor Olofsson remains unchanged, but if practice is any indication then that line may actually receive more third line minutes. Don't be surprised if the Karlsson line ends up playing more minutes and ends up as the defacto second line.
Meanwhile in Edmonton, head coach Kris Knoblauch is not expected to make any lineup changes.
