3 on 3 is definitely starting to grow on everyone. Many of the games that have ended via 3 on 3 overtime were very exciting. Fast paced wide open hockey. Counter attack after counter attack leaves you on the edge of your seat.

Tonight was no exception. The Canucks had the Sedin brothers on with Edler and Edmonton countered with a more defensive trio including Korpikoski and Sekera.

Sekera pressed hard on Henrik and forced him to cough up the puck and Sekera broke out of the zone. He then sauced it behind Daniel to Korpikoski who then went in all alone and tucked it between the pads of Miller. The puck just crossed over the line before Edler could get a stick on it.

If it was 4 on 4, Sekera would have most likely not have had that opening when he stole the puck from Henrik.

It was Edmonton's second win in as many nights and they will look to keep it going against the Red Wings on Wednesday at Rexall Place.
