This just in, the Seattle Kraken have announced that 29 year old forward Brandon Tanev will miss the rest of this season due to a knee injury that he sustained earlier this month in a game against the Edmonton Oilers.
Here's the hit that took Tanev out of action:
Tanev put up an impressive nine goals and 15 points in 30 games this season with the Kraken and established himself as a fan favorite in Seattle, the same way he did during his time with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Winnipeg Jets. I mean... how can you not love this guy? He clearly doesn't take himself too seriously and he puts in 100% effort each and every shift.
Just look at this guy and tell me you wouldn't love to have him on your team:
Here's hoping that Tanev comes back next season like his usual self. Whenever you hear about a 29 year old having knee surgery, you never know how it will affect his career moving forward.
