Kraken zeroing in on naming their first captain?

The right call?

In case you missed it last night the Seattle Kraken surprised absolutely no one when they selected Calgary Flames captain Mark Giordano at the 2021 NHL Expansions Draft and now there's talk that the 37 year old Giordano could actually be the Kraken's first official captain.

Kraken GM Ron Francis was asked about the possibility of Giordano donning the "C" when the Kraken hit the ice for the first time and he admitted that Giordano will be in the discussion amongst other players.

I would suspect that Jordan Eberle, Yanni Gourde and Brandon Tanev will all be in the discussion as well but... let's get real Giordano is by far the best choice. In fact, I would venture to say that Giordano is the only real choice here for the Kraken. Thoughts?
