Former Chicago Blackhawks prospect Kyle Beach is back in the game. Beach, of course, has made headlines the past year after he came forward with his story of being sexually abused by former Blackhawks video coach Brad Aldrich. Beach has since settled a civil lawsuit against the Blackhawks and his story has shone a spotlight on the dark underbelly of abuse in the hockey world.

In a very emotional interview with TSN's Rick Westhead, Beach admitted that it's been tough for him to keep his passion for the game after what happened to him. And honestly... can you blame the guy? He grew up idolizing NHL players and dreaming of one day playing in the NHL. Then when he finally makes it he has to suffer horrendous abuse only to have it covered up by his superiors. Absolutely disgraceful.

Thankfully though, Beach is finding his way back into the sport. Westhead reports today that Beach has accepted an assistant coaching job with Langley, BC's Trinity Western University men's hockey team.

Kudos to Beach for facing his fears and getting back on the ice.
