If there was any doubt that the bad blood between New Jersey Devils goaltender Connor Hellebuyck and his former team, the Winnipeg Jets, was real, I think we can now safely put those doubts to rest.

Over the weekend Hellebuyck was dealt to the New Jersey Devils and if you thought that would put an end to this saga, guess again. Hellebuyck's teammate Kyle Connor was asked to share his thoughts on the recent trade and he took a poorly veiled shot at Hellebuyck while making his comments on the matter.

"Yeah, super excited to get the guys we got into the fold who want to be here and want to be a part of Winnipeg Jets hockey," said Connor with a look on his face that left little doubt about the intent behind his words.

There have been numerous reports suggesting that the relationship between Hellebuyck and the Jets had seriously deteriorated and the team's decision to subject him to a lengthy suspension is certainly an indication of that. That being said the comments coming from Connor, a man who won an Olympic Gold Medal side by side with Hellebuyck as a member of Team USA this year and spent 10 seasons alongside him as a Winnipeg Jet, adds that much more weight to them.
