Kyle Dubas pulls off trade to acquire former 6th overall draft pick
This guy just loooooves collecting talented, underperforming forwards!
UPDATE: It's official.
According to a report from NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Nashville Predators have traded 25 year old forward Cody Glass to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
From Friedman:
The former 6th overall pick (2017 NHL Entry Draft) had six goals and 13 points in 41 games with the Preds last season, a steep drop from his 2022-23 campaign where he managed a career high 14 goals and 35 points.
After failing to find a regular roster spot with the Vegas Golden Knights, the team who drafted him back in 2017, Glass was traded to Nashville in exchange for former top pick Nolan Patrick. That deal was seen as a bit of a change of scenery deal for both Patrick and Glass and now just three years later Glass is on the move again.
Standby for official confirmation from the Predators and Penguins.
