Kyrou gets emotional after fans boo him in St. Louis

Things could get ugly here. How does he come back from this?

Things are starting to get a bit weird with Jordan Kyrou and the St. Louis Blues and it may be a result of some negative fan reaction from this evening's game in St. Louis.

After Kyrou made some dismissive comments on the firing of head coach Craig Berube, Blues fans were angered. After all, Berube was a well liked and well accomplished head coach. Berube carries his fair share of responsibility for the Blues' early season performance but he's by no means the lone actor. Longtime Blues GM Doug Armstrong has made some questionable personnel decisions in recent seasons and is now on the 5th head coach hiring of hiring of his tenure with the team. The 59 year old Sarnia, Ontario native has been the Blues' GM since 2010.

Kyrou though, he doesn't seem to think that he personally shoulders any of the blame for his team's performance. Or at least that's the vibe that he gives off when speaking with the media these days.

Earlier today Kyrou resonded, “I've got no comment. He's not my coach anymore,” when asked about Berube's firing.

That comment seemed to enrage a vocal section of the team's fanbase who voiced their displeasure with Kyrou this evening when he was introduced in the starting lineup:

The boos continued into the game:

After the game, which the Blues won 4-2 over the visiting Ottawa Senators, Kyrou was emotional in his response to the fans:

To me that's a guy who's doing everything he can to keep himself from getting too emotional. This has the potential to get real ugly, real quickly in St. Louis.
