It is never easy to see a fan favorite player be traded. However, the amazing Winnipeg fans who were in attendance at the MTS Centre showed Andrew Ladd how much they miss him and how much they loved him while he was a Jet.

The fans gave him a standing ovation in the first period during a tv time out where he was able to salute the fans. Ladd played 429 games as part of the Atlanta/Winnipeg franchise and was captain for a good part of those games. Andrew put up 305 points over those 6 seasons.

After the game, he was quoted saying "It was awesome. I appreciate the fans and, really, the people of Winnipeg when I was here. I appreciate the ovations and I really can't say enough about the city." Just goes to show that he definitely holds a spot in his heart for Winnipeg.

Another great moment last night was when he scored his 20th goal of the season, both Hawks and Jets fans celebrated the goal. It will definitely be a moment he will remember for a long time.
