It's locker room clean up day in Montreal today after the Montreal Canadiens' season was ended by a Game 5 loss to the Washington Capitals on Wednesday evening.

Typically on locker room clean up day we get to hear from players and coaches about their offseason plans and any injuries that they have been struggling through during the regular season and playoffs. Today is no different.

Habs star forward Patrik Laine revealed to the media today that he broke his finger in Game 2 against the Capitals, keeping him out of the lineup for Games 3, 4 and 5.

"I broke my finger in the second game. I couldn't really hold my stick, and shooting is what I do. I was disappointed," said Laine.

The 27 year old had a trying, albeit ultimately successful first season in Montreal.

He started the season with a brutal knee injury that put him out of the lineup for nearly 3 months. He then came back and managed to put up 30 goals and 33 points in 52 games in his first season with the Habs. With the team seemingly on the upswing, he'll be expect to factor into things much more next season.
