Imagine you’re just a kid in Winnipeg doing what every kid in Winnipeg likes to do during the cold months… playing hockey with your buddies. Now imagine a Winnipeg Jets superstar shows up to play some drop in!
That’s exactly what happened to the Winnipeg Triple A Sharks when Patrik Laine showed up at their outdoor practice last night. While the outdoor rinks have yet to freeze over, Laine and the Sharks managed to get in a game of ball hockey and the smiles on the kids’ faces were priceless.
To make things even more special, Laine sent each of the kids home with a brand new stick! Atta boy, Patrik! We love seeing athletes reaching out to the local community like this.
