Latest mask artwork for Petr Mrazek honors past Leafs players

This one sure is chrome-tastic.

Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Petr Mrazek has teamed up in the Leafs crease alongside Jack Campbell, and earned his first victory in his new uniform on Saturday night against his former Detroit Red Wings squad.

He's already released his first debut mask, courtesy of artist extraordinaire Dave Gunnarsson of DaveArt. He's since released a second mask, one that pays tribute to the late Miroslav Fryčer as well as goaltender Jiří Crha, both of whom hailed from Mrazek's homeland of the Czech Republic.

And as always, Gunnarsson includes a colorful description of the artwork.

"It was so awesome to paint and create Petr Mrazek’s Toronto Maple Leafs mask in total chrome….✨🍁 A clean and classic layout, and it is also a tribute to legendary Czech players🇨🇿🙏🏻⭐️⭐️. When you look closer on the sides of the mask you will find drawings of the players✍🏻. Thank you Petr for the paint ride! 😀🇨🇿🙏🏻@pmraza35 @mapleleafs #DaveArtFamily @nhl #DaveArtTheCradleOfCreativity @proschoicemask"

Fryčer played seven season for the Maple Leafs in the 1980's, and also suited up for the Quebec Nordiques, Detroit Red Wings and Edmonton Oilers over the course of his career. He passed away this past April at the age of 61.

Meanwhile, Crha played two season for Toronto from 1979 to 1981, while also representing his homeland in the 1976 Winter Olympics.

Last year with Carolina, Mrazek posted a record of a 6-2-3 record with three shutouts, a 2.06 goals against average and a .911 save percentage. In 275 career regular season games with the Detroit Red Wings, Philadelphia Flyers and Hurricanes, Mrazek sports a 128-96-31 record with a 2.59 goals against average, a .911 save percentage and 24 shutouts.
