This just in, the Toronto Maple Leafs have assigned 20 year old top prospect Fraser Minten to the AHL's Toronto Marlies.

Check it out:

Minten suffered an ankle sprain during the pre-season last month and missed almost the entirety of the Leafs' training camp. He was placed on the injured reserve list until today's recall.

The native of Vancouver, BC played four games with the Leafs last season after closing out his junior career with the WHL's Saskatoon Blades. He mmanaged 22 goals and 48 points in 43 games split between the Blades and the Kamloops Blazers last season.

He'll likely get some seasoning with the Marlies before getting an extended look with the Leafs.
