A big mistake leads to a big demotion.

There was quite the stir in Toronto on Wednesday when it was reported that forward William Nylander had been practicing with Matt Martin and Byron Froese, presumably the Leafs fourth line.

It appeared that head coach Mike Babcock was sending Nylander a message after his turnover lead to an Anaheim Ducks goal , a goal that gave the Ducks a 2-1 lead early in the games third period.

Now NBS Sports' Jason Brough is reporting that Nylander was once again skating with those very same linemates on Thursday, indicating that Nylander has in fact been demoted by his head coach. Nylander has bounced around the Leafs line up this season leading many to speculate he may have a contentious relationship with his head coach, and this certainly will only add more fuel to that fire.
