This team absolutely has to turn things around... and this isn't going to help.
This just in from Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube, goaltender Joseph Woll is expected to make his return to the lineup this evening and will get the start against the Chicago Blackhawks.
This is great news, of course... unfortunately Berube also shared the fact that goaltender Anthony Stolarz has not progressed in his injury recovery at all and that he'll be seeing a specialist to get more insight into his injury.
Berube confirmed that Stolarz is not suffering through a concussion, however.
Stolarz hasn't played in over a month now and the team has been cryptic about the nature of his injury. I believe that today is the first instance of Berube confirming that the injury is NOT concussion related.
Still, the news of Woll's return should give Leafs fans some hope heading into the Holiday season. This is a team that needs to get on a roll fast if it's going to save its season. It remains to be seen what happens with Stolarz in the New Year, so in the meantime it'll be up to Woll to put up some W's.
