It hasn't been a great start for goaltender Frederik Andersen in Toronto and on Thursday night he was once again the victim of some unfortunate luck, albeit of a different kind this time.
With less than ten minutes remaining in the game Andersen was the victim of a high stick, one that somehow found it's way through his cage, and ended up splitting him open above the eye.
Cuts above the eye are particularly annoying due to the fact that the blood will naturally drip down into your eye, but thankfulyl the trainers were able to get him patched up after a brief stoppage in play. The Leafs were also awarded a 4 minute power play as a result of the play.
