Leafs goaltender suffers major scare in warmups
Thankfully there was a good ending!

The Toronto Maple Leafs got on the right side of things last night in Newark, taking down the New Jersey Devils by a 4-3 final score on the back of 30 saves by goaltender Ilya Samsonov in a winning performance. But Leafs and (and Samsonov himself) got quite a scare during warmups, and an injured Leafs goaltender is the last thing they need.
During the pre-game warmup, Samsonov was shaken up after taking a shot off what looked like his knee. Not so, he would say afterward. Where did the shot catch him?
"The balls," he said.
"It's ok, sometimes they shoot to the head, it's nothing special as guys do warmup," Samsonov said. "I don't worry about this and I just think about the game."
You can certainly say that it was a ballsy performance from Samsonov in net for the Leafs if he was still able to play after that!
