The Toronto Maple Leafs have been adding veteran players on cheap contract as they round out their roster during this offseason's free agency period, and on Sunday night the Leafs another one of those signings with the addition of forward Jimmy Vesey.

According to a report from the Maple Leafs official website, Vesey has agreed to a 1 year contract with the Maple Leafs, one that will pay him $900,000. That is a very affordable contract for the Leafs, exactly the kind of deal that they need to offset some of the bigger contracts that they have in their group of forwards.

Vesey spent last season with the Buffalo Sabres after being dealt to that organization by the New York Rangers, and in that shortened regular season he recorded 9 goals and 11 assists for a combined total of 20 points on the season. Vesey also had 15 penalty minutes to his name and finished the season with a plus minus rating of +12 with the Sabres.
