It’s Hockey Hall of Fame day as Guy Carbonneau, Vaclav Nedomansky, Hailey Wickenheiser, Sergei Zubov, Jerry York and Jim Rutherford all enter the Hall in Toronto this evening.

As part of the lead up to tonight’s festivities though, some legendary NHLers took to the ice for an alumni game this past weekend. The game itself pitted Team Sundin against Team Lidstrom with Hall of Famers Mats Sundin and Nicklas Lidstrom captaining two teams full of Hall of Fame talent.

I mean, just check out these rosters:

Not bad… not bad at all. With former superstars like Sundin, Lidstrom, Eric Lindros, Jeremy Roenick and the like playing you just know you’re in for a treat as a fan. And, as luck would have it, Sundin delivered.

Check out the former Leafs captain pulling off the trick “kick the stick” shot in a shootout:

Not bad, Mats. Not bad at all.

Of course, Sundin’s most famous shootout goal though has to from back in 2009 when Sundin returned to Toronto to defeat the Leafs as a member of the Vancouver Canucks.
