Leafs make goaltending change official moments before Game 7.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have shocked everyone with a last minute change in goal before Game 7.
This is not good for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
I reported earlier on the rumors that began to circulate a little earlier today, hinting at a possible goaltending change on the horizon for the Maple Leafs, and now those rumors have officially been confirmed.
NHL insider Elliotte Friedman was the first to report that Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll has been injured and as a result will be unable to go in Game 7 against the Boston Bruins.
Samsonov has struggled in this series with a 3.31 goals against average and a .883 save percentage while Woll has shined with a 0.86 goals against average and a .964 save percentage in this series.
This is not an ideal scenario for the Maple Leafs.
