It's rare these days to see something like this.
This past weekend the Toronto Maple Leafs' AHL affifliate Toronto Marlies were forced to delay a game and evacuate the building due to an emergency.
The building was evacuated with approximately 10 minutes remaining n the 1st period while Toronto Fire Department investigated the scene. Authorities confirmed that indeed there was simply a false alarm and play was resumed after players were allowed a 5 minute warmup.
The game did indeed resume and the Marlies dropped a 5- shootout decision to the Belleville Senators. Now, the Marlies are offering up complimentary tickets to anyone affecting by Sunday's delay.
The team personally reached out to ticket purchases and has offered up tickets to future Marlies games, all just as a way to say 'thank you' for bearing with the situation.

How cool is that? You almost NEVER see corporations in this day and age doing stuff like this. Love it!
