Holy Mackinaw!
Legendary broadcaster Joe Bowen calls his final Toronto Maple Leafs home game this evening when the Leafs welcome the Dallas Stars.
At their media availability earlier today, Leafs players and coaches were asked for their thoughts on the evening and on Bowen's retirement.
Head coach Craig Berube called Bowen "one of the greats."
"You go through the guys over the years... growing up for me listening to Danny Gallivan, he's in that category," Berube said. "They create their own identity... he's one of the best, one of the greats. Love him."
Long-time Leafs defeseman Morgan Rielly also heaped praise on Bowen and said that he feels "very lucky" to have gotten to know Bowen personally.
