It’s a new chapter that begin tonight for backup goalie Jack Campbell and forward Kyle Clifford, who are making their Toronto Maple Leafs debut tonight after getting traded to Toronto on Wednesday.

It wasn’t set in stone that Clifford was going to be in the lineup tonight, after many things took place ahead of the game against the visiting Anaheim Ducks.

The Leafs had to pull forward William Nylander out of the lineup just before the game seeing that he is dealing with a virus.

No trade worries here or some internal issue like we saw with Kasperi Kapanen this weekend, it seems like there is a bug going around the league and now Nylander is a victim.

Several players from the Montreal Canadiens have been sidelined with a bad virus and it seems to be going around the Atlantic division.

Let’s hope Nylander is in good enough shape to watch the game and his new teammates in action.
