Leafs push Barrie back on trade block after #FireDubas starts trending!

While Darren Dreger reports there is a verbal deal in place between the Toronto Maple Leafs and defenseman Jake Muzzin on a front-loaded contract extension, the same cannot be said of teammate Tyson Barrie. 

The Leafs, who lost and looked terrible against the Pittsburgh Penguins last night, might end up being sellers at the upcoming trade deadline and it seems Barrie could be placed on the market. 

Barrie, a pending unrestricted free agent, could gather the interest of teams, and as we saw on Tuesday, many clubs are seeking help on the back end. 

On Tuesday night, Elliotte Friedman explained that the Leafs would have no other choice but to listen to offers on Barrie if they get more calls on the blue liner ahead of the deadline. 

The latest trades involving defensemen have had good returns and could convince GM Kyle Dubas to make a move involving Barrie, who might not be re-signed this summer due to cap restrictions.
