The Toronto Maple Leafs are happy to have made the decision to fire head coach Mike Babcock earlier this week, especially when new bench boss Sheldon Keefe got his first win in his first NHL game last night over the Arizona Coyotes.

And you can tell from the video just released by the Maple Leafs how great it felt to win under a coach like Keefe. They first come in the room and are welcomed by Mitch Marner, who remains sidelined with injury, as he high fives his teammates and is clearly excited to get the W.

As the new bench boss tells the room that they had fun and can build from there on Saturday in the contest against the Avalanche in Colorado, players are focused on his words and believe they can put the latest slump behind them.

After the player of the game gets named, captain John Tavares quickly stands up to interrupt the celebration to let his teammates know this is the start of something special.

He then congratulates his new head coach and tosses him the game puck from his first NHL win. (Oh, and at the beginning of the video, you see him bang his head to music. Hilarious).

A beautiful video to see as you can tell the win meant a lot to Keefe:
