Keepin' it in the family!
The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed 21 year old forward Landon Sim to a two year contract beginning in 2026-27.
Sim skated in 13 games for the Toronto Marlies (AHL) this season, registering three goals and 31 penalty minutes, and appeared in 18 games with the Cincinnati Cyclones (ECHL), recording six points (two goals, four assists) and 44 penalty minutes. Prior to joining the Maple Leafs organization, Sim won the Memorial Cup with the London Knights.
If the name Sim sounds familiar, that's because Landon is the son of former NHL journeyman Jon Sim.
The elder Sim had a 15 year pro career that featured 469 NHL games split between the Dallas Stars, Nashville Predators, Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers, Florida Panthers, Atlanta Thrashers and New York Islanders.
