According to a list compiled Sportico, a publication concerned with the business of professional sport, the NHL's most valuable team is the Toronto Maple Leafs at a whopping $2 billion evaluation.

The Leafs are the top ranking team, with the first five spots being held by members of the Original Six.

Here's the top 10:

The average valuation for an NHL team is $934 million and the combined value of all 32 teams in $30 billion. To put that in perspective, the richest person on Earth Elon Musk is worth an estimated $202 billion... meaning that he could buy the entire NHL pretty easily and force the teams to drive Teslas and take rocket ships to each away game...

The NHL's two newest teams, the Seattle Kraken and the Vegas Golden Knights ranked 14th and 12th respectively with Seattle worth $860 million and Vegas worth $890 million. To nobody's surprise the Florida Panthers and Arizona Coyotes rank 31st and 32nd in valuation with the Panthers worth just $520 million and the Coyotes worth $410 million. Interestingly enough, the two teams are at opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to competing. The Panthers are a dark horse Stanley Cup pick for many analysts this season, while the Coyotes might legitimately contend with the 1975 expansion Washington Capitals for the worst regular season record in NHL history. To make matter worse, the Coyotes will be legitimately homeless next season as Glendale, AZ's Gila Arena has effectively kicked them to the curb following this season. There's some belief that the'll move to nearby Tempe, AZ but the proposed arena would come at a cost of $1.78 billion. When your team isn't worth even half that, you have to wonder if it'll even happen.

The Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning are ranked 18th on the list at $805 billion.
