This past summer, forward Leo Komarov chose to pursue his hockey career in Sweden after he played just one game for the New York Islanders in 2021-22, only to be waived. He terminated his contract and signed a contract with SKA St. Petersburg.
For this season, he inked a deal with Lulea HF, but has landed in trouble a few times with his new team.
In January, Komarov was suspended two games for shoving an official after losing his temper. Two months, later, just on Monday, he was suspended again.
According to many Swedish outlet, and insider Chris Johnston, Komarov was suspended for two games for fighting during a messy scrum in a Luleå-Växjö game.
As it can be seen in the video, Komarov is mercilessly hitting the back of the head of a rival player, before he gets ejected from the match.
Komarov was played 49 games for the club, posting nine goals and 18 points. He is also racking up the suspensions it sure seems so…
