It’s been quite a week for Anaheim Ducks veteran forward Adam Henrique. Not only as his name been mentioned in trade rumours, linking him to rival teams like the Boston Bruins, New York Rangers and Edmonton Oilers, Henrique has been looking to impress contenders in order to facilitate a trade and get a shot at the championship.

There is so much happening for the 34-year-old and if all of the above wasn’t enough, it was revealed that Henrique kicked off the week with life-altering news as he became the father to a second daughter on Monday.

He channeled his new dad energy on Thursday night against the San Jose Sharks, recording a goal and two assists in his team’s 6-4 victory.

This is quite a lot for Henrique, who started his NHL career with the New Jersey Devils before he was traded to Anaheim in November 2017. He could be moved for the second time ahead of Friday’s deadline.

It has been reported that the Ducks are seeking a second- and third-round picks, plus another third-round pick to retain half of Henrique’s salary. If the Oilers are serious about acquiring Henrique, they would need a third team to come in as a broker to take part of his salary cap hit of $5.825 million in order to fit him on the roster in Edmonton.

We’ve already seen this week two trades that were three-team deals in the Chris Tanev and Ilya Lyubushkin respective transactions. Another one could take place if Henrique is on the move before next Friday.

Henrique, who is a pending free agent, has posted 17 goals and 41 points through 58 games this season.

With all that’s happening lately in his life, I bet more could be coming his way before the deadline on Friday.
