Phil Kessel’s name has been mentioned off and on on trade chatter in the last seasons, but now his name will be added to someone else’s. That’s because the veteran forward expecting a baby along with his partner.
Kessel’s longtime partner Sandra Pereira revealed in an Instagram post that she is expecting.
“IT’S HAPPENING,” Pereira said in the post that featured her and Kessel holding hands with her pregnant belly exposed.
And no, she does not mean a trade is happening.
This is a life-altering event for the 34-year-old, who has been with the Arizona Coyotes since 2019. Prior to that, he was with the Pittsburgh Penguins with whom he won two back-to-back championships in 2016 and 2017. He has also played from the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs.
Now he gets a new role as a father to be. Congrats to Phil and Sandra!
